Description
This is the pair of carbon steel chef knives hand-forged by blacksmiths in Thailand. Each blade is made by a collective of local metalworkers from a small village located in the Southeast Asian nation who have practiced their craft for over 200 years. The "moon" knife (named after its distinctive shape) has a light, thin blade and is designed for cutting through coconuts, watermelons, hard-skinned fruit, and meat. The second blade is a straight edged “slice knife” designed to combine the duties of both a chef’s knife and a cleaver for precision slicing and food prepping. Both knives come with a rounded Pradu wood handle. The set arrives in a mango wood box. Handwash only. Moon knife is 11 1/2" L with handle, Slice knife is 10" L with handle.
