Description
Available only from Hammacher Schlemmer, this is the numismatist’s money clip that incorporates an uncirculated 1878 Morgan silver dollar. Designed by English engraver George T. Morgan, the coin was first minted in 1878 and features the goddess Liberty, modeled by Philadelphia school teacher Anna Willis Wilkins, whose profile Morgan described as “The most perfect I have seen in England or America”. Lady Liberty is surrounded by 13 stars representing the original 13 colonies and the motto “E Pluribus Unum”, with the designer’s initial “M” at the base of her hair and the year at the bottom of the coin. Made of sterling silver, the money clip holds up to 20 bills and 10 credit cards and it can be engraved with a three-letter monogram. Includes certificate of authenticity.
